Connecting and learning in WAG Inuit Art Centre Education Suite

Education through the voices of art is a cornerstone of the WAG’s mission, and there is a new space dedicated to it in the WAG Inuit Art Centre.

Your generous support of the Inuit Art Centre means the WAG will soon be able to accommodate four times the number of students we can today. When the Centre opens in 2020, 100,000 Manitoba students–and thousands more across Canada each year–will be engaged in virtual field trips, tours, and educational experiences guided by guest educators, curators, Elders, storytellers, and artists.

Much of that activity will take place in the new Education Suite on the top floor of the existing WAG building. The Education Suite’s five indoor and two outdoor studios–including a state-of-the-art digital media lab and a clay studio–will be a busy hub of art-making and outreach programs for all ages.
